Recording best practices
Please follow the recording tips when creating your video to ensure it meets the required standards and avoids the need for revisions.
Plan your talking points
No need for a full script, but prepare talking points to stay focused.
This helps reduce rambling and keeps videos concise.
Prep your recording environment
Use professional images and/or designed templates.
Use a white labeled environment.
Use a new Editor 2.0 template.
Zoom in your browser.
➝ Generally to 125% but this may vary depending on your viewport.
Don't use a blank template.
Avoid recording the browser.
➝ If you need to record your browser, hide your bookmarks.
Avoid recording the desktop.
➝ If you need to record your desktop, use a solid color background.
Screen resolution and window dimensions
1920x1080 Recording: Capture without browser address bar for full resolution.
To include the address bar, set the window to 1920x1080 or another 16:9 ratio.
When recording
If using
Clueso record the Tab.
➝ If you need to switch between tabs, record window or full screen.
Speak clearly, but don’t worry about ‘ums’ or making mistakes ;)
Reduce extra mouse movement as much as possible.
➝ Don't circle buttons or sections of the screen with your mouse. When recording, try to keep your hand off the mouse as much as possible.
Keep Engagement High: Avoid long periods of inactivity—motion keeps viewers engaged and prevents drop-off.
After recording
